We are excited to announce that Ricardo Duarte, OD, has joined Eaglet Eye’s Professional Affairs team, as we continue our commitment to excellence in eye care. With an impressive background spanning over two decades in optometry, Ricardo brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization.
In this role, Dr. Duarte will bolster Eaglet Eye’s initiatives in customer support, and specialty contact lens education and training. Ricardo has been a key player in the specialty lens arena for over a decade, both in Latin America and internationally. His efforts will play a crucial role in advancing the company’s objectives by inspiring eye care practitioners globally to deepen their knowledge of scleral and specialty contact lens applications and fitting techniques.

About Dr. Ricardo Duarte
Dr. Duarte graduated from Universidad Rafael Landívar (Guatemala) in 2005 with a degree in Optometry. His professional trajectory includes pivotal roles such as Head of the Optometry Clinic for five years at Hospital Rodolfo Robles (Guatemala), coupled with six years of experience at the Unidad Nacional de Oftalmología (National Unit of Ophthalmology, Guatemala), and as a Lead Consultant and Speaker for Spectrum International for four years, where he served over 65 countries worldwide. Additionally, Dr. Duarte worked for four years as a Key Opinion Leader and lead trainer for BostonSight SCLERAL, contributing significantly to the advancement of specialty contact lens practices. He has made notable contributions as an Ambassador for the LATAM Myopia Management group, is a member of the Contact Lens Society of America (CLSA) and the International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE), and holds the NCLE-C certification.
